Law Firm Donates 30+ Meals To Families In Need For Holiday - Patch.com
"We give back to the local community because we are the local community. It's where we live and work. It's where we raise our families."

RIVERHEAD, NY — A local law firm reached out to help the hungry this holiday season.
Working together to give back, Twomey, Latham, Shea, Kelley, Dubin & Quartararo, LLP donated more than 30 meals to the Island Harvest Food Bank.
According to the firm, the donated food was picked up at East Wind Long Island in Wading River, where the annual holiday party was on December 17.
Founded in 1992 by Linda Breitstone, volunteers and staff at Island Harvest deliver millions of pounds of quality surplus food — that might have otherwise gone to waste — to a network of 570 Long Island-based food pantries, soup kitchens and nonprofit organizations that offer feeding services for those in need, the firm said.
Since its inception, Island Harvest has delivered 130 million pounds of food, supplementing 108 million meals, according to the organization.
"The culture of caring and compassion extends to all areas of the firm," said David M. Dubin, senior partner, Twomey, Latham, Shea, Kelley, Dubin & Quartararo, LLP. "We give back to the local community because we are the local community. It's where we live and work. It's where we raise our families. We are deeply involved because we understand the importance of being an active part of the Long Island community, especially during the holiday season. It's at the core of the firm's philosophy and has been since our inception."
