While Cravath, Swaine & Moore kicked off this end-of-year bonus season, Davis Polk & Wardwell’s announcement Monday that it would tack an extra 20% “special bonus” has the rest of Big Law following this compensation leader for the fourth time in the past year and a half.
Davis Polk’s announcement Monday was followed by matches from Debevoise & Plimpton; Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison; Paul Hastings; and Milbank. And on Tuesday, Willkie Farr & Gallagher and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom also followed.
