Eli met Mia on Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 2 Episode 9

Eli had gone to the harbor and didn’t want to attend the trial. He met a woman, Mia, and they went back to her place to drink a bit. The woman had him take shots and pop pills then we fade to black (assuming they had sex.)

When Eli woke at 4 am, clothing was everywhere and he went to tell the woman he was leaving and discovered her cold dead body with bloodshot eyes. He nervously put on his clothes and fled her apartment. A man noticed him so he bolted down the stairs versus using the elevator.

Eli called his father to pick him up. Elliot took Olivia with him yet they didn’t find him. Hours later we see Eli on top of a bridge about to jump… A rookie cop noticed the young man on the ledge and talked him down.

Det. Stabler asks Capt. Benson for help on Law & Order Organized Crime Season 2 Episode 9

They found Eli at the police station and he was due for a psychiatric evaluation. When Elliot talked with his son he learned his deadly evening. They questioned him and asked did he have sex with the girl. Olivia took over for Elliot.

She went to the station to gain information and met with Det. Angel Ramirez. There were signs that she was strangled…

Hitman For Hire

Ramirez informed Stabler that his son had to be charged (even as a minor) and Elliot wouldn’t be able to interfere. Eli was put in a lineup and the man, Swafford, who saw Eli leave Mia’s apartment that night identified him.

Stabler went to his office to press Jett for intel on the woman Eli met. Although outside of their jurisdiction, she found the girl was a hooker and the apartment she rented was shady with hidden cameras on unsuspecting renters. They got access and watched the video feed, it didn’t show him murder her… she was already dead! Rewinding the video revealed another man had suffocated her, it was Swafford (the man who identified Eli in the lineup!)

They called Ramirez immediately and sought his freedom so they B-lined to the hospital.

Benson and Stabler talk on Law & Order Organized Crime Season 2 Episode 9

While the couple had free time, they had small talk and Elliot wanted to know about Olivia’s dating life. The physician who treated Eli wanted to speak with Elliot and Olivia. He shared that Eli was deeply concerned for his father’s life and was allowed to go home.

The Usual Suspects

Swafford confessed he was hired to kill the girl and make it look like Eli. He claimed he didn’t know exactly who hired him but it was someone who had known him from Rikers Island. As they exited, Stabler thanked Benson for being there for him in his time of need and invited her over for the Christmas party. They shared a special moment…

Stabler confronted Wheatley on Law & Order Organized Crime Season 2 Episode 9

Stabler immediately knew who was behind the setup and paid Richard Wheatley a visit in prison. He accused him of paying with Bitcoin. Wheatley told Stabler the only person that has access to his personal coin is his daughter Dana!

Stabler and Bell visited Angela on Law & Order Organized Crime Season 2 Episode 9

Stabler and Bell paid Angela Wheatley a visit asking for Dana. The professor claimed to not have seen her daughter.

Angela was playing a role all that time (like Verbal in the movie ‘The Usual Suspects’) and when the officers left, she was back to normal. When Dana came back inside the house, she asked what did the cops want and Angela told her she needs to disappear for a while…

Good News, Bad News

Barba visited Wheatley in prison to give him the great news that the DA’s case was weak and decided not to retry him. He was a free man. Wheatley asked him to reconsider his offer to remain his attorney and Barba denied him saying there’s not enough money in the world to represent him. Wheatley was coy but did claim to right his wrongs.

Bell visited Stabler at his family’s Christmas gathering to break the bad news that Richard Wheatley had got off for his wife’s murder!
