So the fact that some of the current filming of Law & Order: SUV is taking place only 9.4 miles from the Connecticut border is a monumental moment and has me very excited.
I have scoured the internet to find any Law & Order scenes filmed in Connecticut, and I came up with bubkis. Thanks to the website chron.com, I have discovered that Law & Order: Special Victims Unit has recently begun filming in Westchester, New York, in Elmsford.

Filming continued at Motel 6 in Elmsford on Friday and featured scenes including main characters Sergeant Fin (played by Ice-T) and Olivia Benson (played by Mariska Hargitay.)
The Elmsford, NY scenes will appear in episode 17, which is scheduled to air on March 22, according to epguides.com. If you happen to be a Law & Order fanatic, click on onlocationtours.com to find every New York City Law & Order filming location. Katharine Hepburn was born on May 12, 1907, in Hartford, CT. Most of her schooling was done at home, but she did attend Bryn Mawr College, where she decided to become an actress. Her career began with small roles in plays on Broadway, but she cracked the big time in 1932 when she played the starring role in the 1932 film “A Warrior’s Husband” as the Amazon princess, Antiope. Hepburn refused to play the Hollywood game. She did her own thing by wearing slacks and wearing no makeup. She wasn’t much into posing for photographs and doing interviews either. Her behavior at the time was considered unacceptable by movie producers and the public. From 1935 to 1938, she had many unsuccessful movies, but her popularity slowly returned in the early 1940s. Did you know that Hepburn never watched one of her most celebrated films, “Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner?” The reason was that her co-star, Spencer Tracy, died 17 days after finishing his last scene. On June 29, 2003, Katharine Hepburn passed away at her home in Old Saybrook, Connecticut.

It goes without question that Ron Howard is one of entertainment’s most prolific directors and celebrated storytellers. Ron and his family live in a stunning $27.5 million home in Greenwich, complete with 17,200 square feet of living space, including a private movie theater and a 2,500 square foot guest house. If you’re my age, you watched ‘Mayberry R.F.D’ in the 60s featuring Andy Griffith and Ron Howard as his son, Opie. As Howard grew up, he held on to that innocent all-American persona which included his role as Richie Cunningham in ‘Happy Days.’ From there, his career took off like a Space X rocket as he began his work behind the camera. Many of his films are legendary, like A Beautiful Mind, Apollo 13, Splash, Cocoon, Parenthood, and the list goes on. Yet, with all the fame and fortune, his friends will tell you Ron Howard is just an easy-going, down-to-earth guy next door. He credits Andy Griffith as his most influential friend.
