After nearly a full year of courts in crisis mode and many litigators feeling like their practices had been paused indefinitely, 2022 brought some glimmers of hope after a rocky start.

Courts did begin to phase in-person proceedings back in, cases did start to see some movement and several legal issues that stemmed from the pandemic itself began making their way through courts and gaining some clarity in the process.
