Lawrence County law enforcement veteran Wayne Ramsey dies - Ellwood City Ledger

A staple of the Lawrence County law enforcement community died unexpectedly on Nov. 16.

Wayne Ramsey, a Lawrence County sheriff’s deputy and and patrol corporal for the North Beaver Police Department, died at the age of 50. His cause of death was not publicly released.

Ramsey served on the North Beaver Police Department for more than 15 years and served as a deputy for the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office for more than 12 years.

Funeral services were held Nov. 27, where first responders gathered to pay their respects.

Lawrence County Sheriff Perry Quahliero, who hired Ramsey, said he will be greatly missed, and dozens took to Facebook in recent weeks to share their memories of Ramsey.
