Veteran Linklaters antitrust partner and outgoing global practice head Christian Ahlborn is set to join Covington & Burling, the third in a series of high-profile exits from the firm’s European and U.K. antitrust practice in recent weeks.
Ahlborn is the former London-based global head of Linklaters’ antitrust and foreign investment group and he co-heads the U.K. firm’s technology sector team. He joined the U.K. firm as a partner in 1993. According to Linklaters’ website, he spent three years in the Linklaters’ Brussels office during his time at the firm. His replacement to the global antitrust head role, Nicole Karr, was announced in March.
