Law schools in Alabama are posting higher enrollment after facing a year of hurdles for admissions, academic exams and more.
That’s the main takeaway from our recent List of Alabama’s largest law schools, which ranks programs by total enrollment.
Enrollment jumped by nearly 10% compared to last year for law schools on the List, which is in line with the national growth trend during that time. According to the latest report from the American Bar Association, the number of students pursuing juris doctor degrees across the country rose by 1.5% in 2020.
Increased enrollment is a positive sign for Alabama schools after the education sector was forced to pivot in the past year in response to financial fallout and public safety measures.
