Local Law Enforcement Encourages Caution From Motorists As Wintry Weather Begins Moving Through Area - 1380 KCIM

Law enforcement agencies in the region are urging motorist to use caution when traveling today (Friday) as wintry weather begins to move through the region. Reports of slick road conditions and some snow accumulations are coming in from around the area. Authorities recommend residents avoid unnecessary travel. If out on the roads, drivers should plan for additional time to reach their destination and slow down to reduce the chance of an accident. The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning that lasts until 6 a.m. Saturday morning with up to a foot of snowfall possible in some areas.
