BELFAST, Maine (AP) — A Maine man charged with killing his sister and brother-in-law pleaded no contest to murder on Wednesday.

Glenn Brown, 68, of Belmont, will be sentenced next month for the killings in October 2020 at the couple’s home in Waldo. There was no plea agreement, prosecutors said.

Brown went to the Belfast Police Department to report the shootings, and police found the bodies of Richard Bowden and Tina Bowden, both 64.

Tina Bowden died at the scene, and her husband died at a hospital, officials said. They had been shot multiple times.

Glenn Brown’s plea meant that he wouldn’t contest the charge, and Justice Robert Murray entered a finding of guilty.

According to police documents, there was a family feud over the estate of Brown and Tina Bowden’s stepfather.
