Man posing as law enforcement sexually assaulted student, Brazoria authorities say - Houston Chronicle

Authorities in Brazoria County are looking for a man who they say sexually assaulted a high school student after he led her to believe he was a truancy officer or a law enforcement official so she’d get in his vehicle.
The Brazoria County Sheriff's Office said he took the girl, who was identified in a social media post as an Alvin High School student, between 4 or 5 p.m. Tuesday in the 900 block of Cleveland Street in Alvin.
After he’d convinced her he was an official, authorities say he drove her to the Chocolate Bayou boat ramp and sexually assaulted her. He released her at 7 p.m. at an undisclosed location.
Officials described the man as being between 5 feet, 7 inches or 5 feet, 8 inches tall with eyes and hair that are brown or black. He has a medium build, is believed to be in his early to mid-30s and was wearing light blue jeans and a flannel over a blue T-shirt.
The man, who also has a full left forearm tattoo, drove a Chevy Malibu, according to authorities.
Anyone who has information is asked to call Crime Stoppers, 979-864-2279, or Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office dispatch, 979-864-2392.
