Man transported to the hospital following shooting with law enforcement in Paradise - Cache Valley Daily
LOGAN — A man has been transported to the hospital following a shooting with law enforcement in Paradise Tuesday afternoon. The shots were reportedly fired as Cache County Sheriff’s deputies were pursuing an individual who had allegedly stolen a vehicle from a Wellsville home.
According to emergency radio traffic, the victims called 911 reporting a Hispanic male with tattoos, wearing a blue sweatshirt, had entered their home with an automatic weapon and stole a purse. The suspect reportedly left in a white minivan, just after 1 p.m.
Law enforcement located the suspect vehicle near Hyrum. It was reportedly traveling erratically and at a high rate of speed.
As deputies continued their pursuit, the vehicle ran a red light and was travelling around 95 mph.
Near 9300 S. 300 East in Paradise the van reportedly stopped and shots were fired.
The suspect was hit and transported to the hospital by ambulance. No law enforcement were reportedly injured.
