Mexico assures U.S. it will follow 'the rule of law' on energy disputes - Houston Chronicle

WASHINGTON — Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador has assured U.S. officials that he will resolve disputes with U.S. energy companies "within the rule of law."

Energy Secretary Jennifer Granhom traveled to Mexico City last week, to discuss the nations' efforts to address climate change as well as Lopez Obrador's moves to undermine U.S. oil and gas companies operating within Mexico.
