MHP highlights donation for Law Enforcement Appreciation Day - NBC Montana

MISSOULA, Mont. — Montana Highway Patrol troopers are receiving some extra patrol supplies thanks to a generous donation.
The Montana Farm Bureau Federation and the Women’s Leadership Committee donated money to provide troopers with essentials like sunscreen, lip balm, gum and other items to have on hand while they are out patrolling.
Donors contributed $2,325 dollars to the supply fund along with some of the necessary supplies.
MHP Sgt. Jay Nelson says it is another example of Montana’s community support for law enforcement.
"It definitely makes us feel appreciated. We work in the best state in the United States. The citizens of Montana always show us on a regular basis their appreciation, their support, and I can’t say enough about the citizens of Montana and how they appreciate law enforcement," Nelson said.
MHP highlighted the donation on Law Enforcement Appreciation Day and plans on handing out the supplies soon.
