More Law Enforcement Expected on Roadways the Next Few Days - stormlakeradio.com

The Buena Vista County Sheriff's Office is one of several agencies that are taking part in a special enforcement campaign that coincides with the so-called “4/20 Holiday.”

Drivers will see extra law enforcement starting tomorrow (Tues April 19th) through this Friday, April 22nd. April 20th has become synonymous with marijuana use, and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Iowa Governor's Traffic Safety Bureau are teaming up with state, county, and local law enforcement to spread the message that drug-impaired driving of any kind is dangerous and illegal.

According to NHTSA, in 2018, 46-percent of drivers who were killed in crashes tested positive for drugs.
