CASPER, Wyo. — The Natrona County School District said shortly after 4 p.m. Thursday that the evacuation of Natrona County High School earlier in the afternoon was due to a report of a bomb threat.

The school received report of the bomb threat at 2:15 p.m., according to the district.

“Students and staff immediately evacuated the building,” NCSD added. “First Responder agencies immediately responded to the school. When such a report is received, a thorough and expert investigation and analysis of the building occurs to ensure the safety of all students and staff. As such, students and staff were not able to return to the building.”
