CASPER, Wyo. — Natrona County law enforcement agencies, including a Special Response Team, remain staged in Evansville on Saturday morning for an active scene involving an “armed, barricaded subject” in a residence, Natrona County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Kiera Grogan told Oil City around 9:00 a.m.

“There is no hostage situation,” Grogan said, adding that the situation involves a single subject.

Law enforcement initially responded to reports of multiple gunshots Friday evening. An Oil City reporter near the scene heard several intermittent reports resembling gunshots. Grogan was unable to confirm whether further shots had been fired. Officers could also be heard instructing the subject to surrender through a loudspeaker.
