Why did you decide to be a lawyer? I became a lawyer to help people solve problems. I wanted to work in a field where I could actively engage with people, nurture interpersonal relationships, and serve as a resource for the community.

Who has been someone who has inspired your legal career (can be a real person or a fictional character)? My Mom and Dad. They are the hardest working people I know. Through their actions, my parents taught me the importance of resilience in the face of adversity and the significance of living a life that touches as many people as possible in positive ways.

What's the biggest misconception people have about lawyers from TV shows/movies? Lawyers have chill, I promise. Not every lawyer is aggressive and adversarial.

What has been your greatest accomplishment so far in your legal career? It is hard to point to one single moment, as I've had many incredible experiences so far: working on cases that have gone to trial and we've won, serving as legal counsel on a political campaign, and learning from some of the best lawyers in the country.

What's your favorite thing about being an attorney? I love working in a field where I am exposed to a bastion of knowledge and resources. Whether it be from a client working in an emerging field/niche industry or a lesson from one of my mentors at work, I am learning something new every day.

What's your favorite legal TV show or movie? Three-way tie between Philadelphia, Amistad, and Just Mercy.

If you could make any change to improve metro Birmingham, what would it be? Birmingham's star shines bright. I am an avid supporter of any initiatives that preserve the City's cultural significance and promote our local economy, job growth, and the retention of young professionals in the area.
