NJ's New Anti-Age Discrimination Law 'Will Significantly Increase Potential for Employer Liability,' Attorneys Say | New Jersey Law Journal - Law.com

Gov. Phil Murphy signed A-681 into law Tuesday, expanding the scope of the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination by eliminating the mandatory retirement age and widening the legal remedies available to an employee who is required to retire due to age.

Employment lawyers say employers will now need to tread more cautiously when making decisions on whom to hire or advance.
