No TikTok challenge here; sister-in-law just doesn’t care for security camera: Seven Hills Police Blotter - cleveland.com
SEVEN HILLS, Ohio
Criminal damaging, Crossview Road: On Oct. 10, a Crossview Road resident called police about a damaged security camera.
An arriving officer talked to the resident, who said she had video of her sister-in-law taking down a video camera and throwing it on the ground before returning to her side of the split home.
The resident said they’ve had problems for a long time involving the in-law damaging property and making threats. That’s why she put up the video camera.
The officer talked to the family member, who admitted to throwing the camera on the ground because she did not like being watched. The officer told the woman because she doesn’t own the home and the garage is the common area cameras are allowed.
The sister-in-law was charged with criminal damaging.
Warrant, Tanglewood Lane: On Oct. 9, a concerned resident called police about children running in the street and not moving out of the way for vehicles on Tanglewood Lane.
Arriving officer quickly realized the mother of the children had a warrant with the Seven Hills police.
The officer talked to the homeowner, who said his grandkids were outside but he didn’t see them in the street. At that point the officers asked to talk to the mother, who came to the door but refused to come outside.
After being told she had multiple warrants, the woman closed the door. The mother was followed by the officers to a back bedroom, where she was arrested after attempting to hide in a closet.
