Northwest Ohio law officers issue over 300 citations during 'Lights for Lives' campaign - WNWO NBC 24

FINDLAY, Ohio — The Findlay district of the Ohio State Highway Patrol recently partnered with other northwest Ohio law enforcement agencies to crack down on traffic violations.
For the 10th annual "Lights for Lives" campaign, officers stopped as many vehicles as possible from 6 a.m. Tuesday through 6 a.m. Thursday while using overhead lights.
During those 48 hours, officers stopped almost 875 vehicles and issued 363 citations including 66 safety belt citations, 18 impaired drivers and 20 criminal arrests including two felony and misdemeanor arrests with 18 involving drugs.
Participating departments included agencies from Williams, Fulton, Lucas, Defiance, Henry, Wood, Putnam, Paulding, Hancock, Van Wert, Allen and Hardin counties.
OSHP wanted to remind motorists to slow down and move over for flashing lights, always use seat belts, never drive impaired and have a plan before going out this holiday season.
