NYC Data-Sharing Law Cases Likely to Be Consolidated, Judge Says - Bloomberg Law

Three separate lawsuits filed by DoorDash Inc., Uber Eats, and Grubhub Inc. against New York City's new customer data-sharing ordinances are likely to be consolidated in New York federal court.

Three challenges against New York City’s new ordinances requiring delivery apps to share customer data with restaurants are likely to proceed together.

The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York intends to consolidate the three separate lawsuits filed by DoorDash Inc., Uber Eats, and Grubhub Inc., Judge Analisa Torres wrote in orders filed Tuesday.

The food delivery companies are seeking to stop the ordinances, which require them to share information including customer names, phone numbers, emails, and delivery addresses. The city agreed in October to not enforce the law against DoorDash as the litigation ...
