JACKSONVILLE, Onslow County — Deputies with the Onslow County Sheriff's Office are searching for a shooting suspect they believe fired a gun in a neighborhood in the Piney Green area Sunday afternoon.

Law officials are searching for the driver of a gray Dodge Challenger with black rims.

Col. Chris Thomas said the driver wore a ski mask; described as a black male.

Authorities said the suspect fired shots in the 100 block of Wood Brooke Drive.

Authorities said the suspect fired shots in the 100 block of Woodbrook Drive off of Lake Cole Road. While investigating the scene, officials did not find any damage and nobody has reported any injuries.
