Police enforce 'Move Over' law around the valley - News3LV

Las Vegas (KSNV) — Another reminder to share the road with cyclists around the valley today.
Area police were out Thursday morning enforcing the 'Move Over' law, which saw an officer riding a bicycle calling out infractions to waiting motor officers.
Under the law, drivers must give a bicyclist at least three feet, or more when possible, to switch lanes.
The officer's bike was equipped with a laser beam measure to accurately record how close cars were coming.
They also say cyclists need to practice good habits as well.
"Try to be predictable, try to look out for each other because it's really about teamwork so we can leave in the morning and get home at night to our families," says Sgt. Michael Campbell with CCSD police.
So far this year, two cyclists have died on valley roads.
A total of nine were hit and killed last year.
