Rittenhouse shooting victim files lawsuit against Kenosha, law enforcement - FOX 6 Milwaukee

KENOSHA, Wis. - A new federal lawsuit has been filed against the City of Kenosha and law enforcement in connection to the Kyle Rittenhouse shootings.

Kyle Rittenhouse is accused of fatally shooting two people – and injuring a third, Gaige Grosskreutz – during the unrest in Kenosha last year.

Now, Gaige Grosskreutz is filing a federal civil lawsuit against the City of Kenosha, Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth, former police chief Daniel Mis,kinis and others.

The suit alleges conspiracy to deprive his civil rights and obstruct justice, as well as failure to intervene and negligence – based on the actions of law enforcement leading up to the shooting.

He is seeking damages and relief by jury trial.

Meanwhile, the Rittenhouse trial will begin next month, with jury selection scheduled to start on Nov. 1.
