Rutgers Law School team tries to overturn laws that prevent citizens with felony convictions from voting - News 12 New Jersey

A team from Rutgers Law School is trying to overturn laws in 48 states that prevent citizens with felony convictions from voting.

They filed a brief before the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights in Washington, D.C., which monitors countries to protect human rights.

Congress has been unable to pass voting rights legislation, including federal laws eliminating, or at least limiting, felony disenfranchisement.
