A Cornell Law School professor nominated to be the Biden administration’s top banking regulator reported earning $291,629 from the university, according to her financial disclosure.

Saule Omarova was nominated as the comptroller of currency for the U.S. Treasury Department in September, a position tasked with overseeing and regulating the banking industry. She’s been criticized by Republicans for being openly hostile to big banks, drawing concerns her nomination may struggle to get through the Senate.
