WASHINGTON — A Seattle man was sentenced to 46 months in prison for assaulting law enforcement during the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, the Department of Justice announced.

Court documents say that Devlyn Thompson, 28, was in a crowd on the lower terrace of the building who pushed against and assaulted both Metropolitan Police Department and U.S. Capitol Police officers.

The DOJ says in a press release that Thompson and others “yelled obscenities at police and encouraged the continued assault.”
