SEC Sues Man For Allegedly Violating Federal Laws | Daily Report - Law.com
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission sued Mark J. Melnick Thursday in Georgia Northern District Court over alleged violations of federal securities laws. The complaint accuses the defendant of attempting to manipulate the securities market by making false statements designed to cause the prices of certain stocks to rise temporarily. Lawyers have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 1:21-cv-04054, United States Securities and Exchange Commission v. Melnick.
