Several Berkeley County schools on lockdown due to law enforcement activity nearby - ABC NEWS 4

GOOSE CREEK (WCIV) — UPDATE: Law enforcement advised Berkeley County School District officials it is safe to lift the lockdown. Students and staff have resumed their normal schedules, a spokesperson said.

Berkeley County School District officials announced Thursday afternoon several schools in the Goose Creek area are on precautionary lockdown due to an active law enforcement investigation nearby.

School campuses on lockdown include Goose Creek Elementary, Howe Hall AIMS, Mount Holly Elementary, Sedgefield Middle School and Goose Creek High School, according to BCSD Communications Director Katie Tanner.

"Students are safe. We will provide more information as it becomes available.," Tanner said.
