South Texas College of Law Houston will launch a diversity center funded by a $3 million donation from alumnus Benny Agosto and his wife, with a goal of establishing a model for other law schools.
The donation will fund the hiring of a program director for The Benny Agosto Jr. Diversity Center at South Texas College of Law Houston, and also support diversity scholarships and programing for lawyers, a professorship, and set up office space at the downtown Houston law school. It also will help the law school expand the Hispanic Journal of Law and Policy, a journal Agosto established at the law school in 2016.
