Students create artwork for law firm's Christmas cards - Times Record News
With raucous cheers from teachers and their fellow students, each grade's winner and runner-up proudly displayed their winning artwork for the Altman Legal Group's Christmas card contest.
The annual event features students at Southern Hills Elementary School creating drawings, one of which will be used for card the law firm sends out each year to thousands of clients, former clients and friends.
Fourth grader Sara Turner had the overall winning design this year.
Altman Legal Group kick-started the Christmas card tradition in 1994 when they decided to become involved in Partners in Education, partnering with McGaha Academy (now Southern Hills Elementary). Aiming to choose a project involving all students, Altman Legal decided on the Christmas card drawing contest.
Altman Legal Group Partner Bill Altman says, “For years, our entire staff has eagerly participated in judging the Christmas-oriented drawings by the young students at Southern Hills Elementary. We get to see the excitement in students and teachers alike at a school assembly as winners are announced in each grade."
Each winner and runner-up received a gift card.
“We are so proud to be partnered with Southern Hills Elementary and the wonderful staff, teachers, and children that are present every year. To see so many smiles on the kids’ faces at the assembly truly brings joy to our hearts during the holiday season,” says Altman Legal Partner Brad Altman.
