Students Recognized for Academic Achievement - UVA Law

Two University of Virginia School of Law students were recently recognized for having the top grade-point averages among their classmates.

Camilo Garcia ’22 won the Jackson Walker LLP Award, given to the student with the highest GPA after four semesters. A first-generation student who hails from Barranquilla, Colombia, Garcia is a graduate of Florida International University and is the Richard A. Silver Scholar at UVA Law.

Jeffrey Horn ’23 received the Carl M. Franklin Prize for earning the highest GPA at the end of the two semesters. Horn, who is from Henderson, Nevada, is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Recipients for the awards receive a cash prize and have their names engraved on plaques in Hunton Andrews Kurth Hall.
