Traction law in effect for canyons - KSLTV
SALT LAKE CITY – A quick-moving storm has dumped enough snow in Little and Big Cottonwood Canyons to cause the Department of Transportation to put the traction law into effect Sunday.
DOT said traction devices need to be on and installed before traveling.
A DOT tweet said, “Road conditions are running wet in lower canyon, but showers pick up mid canyon & roads are slick & slushy w/ patchy snow up to the top.”
KSL meteorologist Kristen Van Dyke said Utah was expecting snow through Sunday afternoon.
