Emhoff whisked from Black history event after bomb threat WASHINGTON (AP) — Doug Emhoff, the husband of Vice President Kamala Harris, was whisked out of an event Tuesday at a Washington high school by Secret Service agents following a bomb threat.
Emhoff was at Dunbar High School to help commemorate Black History Month and was in the school's museum for a few minutes when a member of his security detail approached him saying, “We have to go.” Emhoff was hustled out into his waiting motorcade and whisked away.
Video Police: Catalytic converters stolen off cars at URI SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WPRI) — Police at the University of Rhode Island (URI) are warning members of the campus community to be on high alert as they investigate a series of thefts.
Over the past week, six students have reported the catalytic converter was stolen off their vehicles parked in the Flagg Road lot and other lots around the Kingston Campus, according to police.
