Women Dominate Law Firm Business Pro Ranks, New Survey Finds | The American Lawyer - The American Lawyer

What You Need to Know
- Business professional ranks at law firms are more diverse than many firms thought.
- Women make up 75% of law firm business professionals, but are closer to a 1:1 ratio with men when it comes to executive leadership.
- Many were hesitant to answer whether they are LGBTQ, a veteran or have disability.

Results of the survey, conducted by Calibrate Legal, suggest that women play a major role in the business of law firms, but may not be advancing at the same rate as their male peers. While the more junior ranks of these business departments are predominantly female, the leadership at the top does not match that proportion.
