After over seven years of lobbying, Erica Hammel’s efforts to get Wyatt’s Law passed finally came to fruition.

Wyatt’s Law, named for the St. Clair Shores woman’s 9-year-old son, Wyatt Rewoldt, was signed into law by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer on Thursday. Wyatt was abused by his father’s girlfriend who had a previous history of child abuse.
